How to use MPVI3 HP Tuners
The procedure for connecting to a vehicle varies by the type of interface device you are using.
MPVI Interface
Connect the larger end of the provided USB cable to an available USB port on a laptop with VCM Suite installed.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB type B port on the MPVI interface device.
Attach the 15-pin side of the OBD-II interface cable to the corresponding connector on the MPVI interface device.
When you're ready to scan or reprogram your vehicle, connect the 16-pin side of the OBD-II interface cable to your vehicle's diagnostic port.
MPVI2/2+/3 AND ALL RTD INTERFACES
When using these devices with the VCM Suite, follow these steps:
Connect the larger end of the provided USB cable to an available USB port on a laptop with VCM Suite installed.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB type C port on the front of the interface device.
When you're prepared to scan or reprogram your vehicle, plug the large, molded OBD-II connector on the other side of the interface device into your vehicle's diagnostic port.
For mobile device use with the TDN app, these devices connect via Bluetooth®. The app provides on-screen instructions for establishing the connection and attaching the device to your vehicle. Refer to the TDN app documentation for more details.
